One of the most stressful parts of moving is making sure all your essential services stay intact, such as TV, internet and phone, three highly important aspects of your home life. This article will cover the easy steps it takes in order to move your Spectrum service to a different location as smoothly as possible so you can keep using your service like you never stopped. It will also cover certain fees that you might see, along with their definitions, so you know what to expect.
The first step is to make sure that you are moving to a location that offers Spectrum service. If it does not and you need to cancel your service, call 844-887-8822 and Spectrum will tell you what to do with your equipment and help you find providers that service your area. You can call the same number to notify Spectrum that you would like to transfer your service to a new residence and they will schedule your move for you so they know when to transfer service. On this call, make sure to also ask the Customer Care Representative if you should take your equipment with you and if you qualify for a self-installation.
It’s important to also know the fees involved with transferring services so that you are not blindsided on the day of your move. Here’s a list of fees you might encounter:
