What is the difference between internet and WiFi?

The difference between internet and WiFi is that internet is the greater worldwide network. When you connect your home to the internet, you are then able to access this global connectivity of servers and websites, allowing you access to the internet. Meanwhile, Wi-Fi refers strictly to wireless connectivity to devices within a confined space. For this reason, you cannot have WiFi inside your home if you do not first have an internet connection. Your internet connects to a modem inside your home which then converts the connection into signals your devices can use. For wireless connectivity, your modem must be connected to a router. The router then wirelessly connects devices like phones and other wireless smart devices to your home's internet connection. When a modem and router are in one device, it is called a gateway.
